Jipmer to hold MBBS counselling from June 26 to 28, PUDUCHERRY: Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (Jipmer) will hold the first counselling for admission into MBBS programme for the academic year 2018-19 from June 26 to 28.
The institute will hold the counselling for general unreserved/OPH and P-OPH candidates on June 26, for general OBC/SC/ST candidates on June 27 and Puducherry unreserved/OBC/SC and non-resident Indian/overseas citizens of India candidates on June 28.
The institute will call the candidates according to their ranks on the merit list to verify the certificates of the candidates and their biometric information at its academic centre.
The institute published the overall merit list of candidates with category-wise shortlisted merit list on its website on June 8. The institute’s medical board will hold medical examination for the persons with disability-OPH and P-OPH candidates on June 25.
It sought the students to bring their original certificates/bonafide certificates (duly signed by the institutions), residency certificates issued by the competent revenue officials, original Aadhaar card and original hall tickets along with attested photocopies of all certificates.
The institute will not permit a change in campus once a candidate opts for either of its two campuses — Puducherry and Karaikal. Similarly, sliding from one campus to another campus or changing the category will not be permitted.
As many as 1,56,422 candidates appeared for the entrance examinations conducted in two shifts (shift I: 81,960 and shift II: 74,462) at 291 centres across the country on June 3. There are 200 MBBS seats, including 50 seats on the Karaikal campus.
