The National Board of Examination (NBE) official conducting body of FMGE; i.e. Foreign Medical Graduates Examination declared its 2020 results on September 12, 2020. It is the mandatory examination attempted by foreign medical students.
The licensing examination must be qualified by Indian students who had studied MBBS from abroad countries. They want to practice as a doctor in India, they have to appear for the licensing examination. The screening test for foreign students has been introduced in the year 2002. The medical degree obtained from countries other than India such as; countries belonging to the Soviet Union, Eastern European countries, China, Nepal, the Philippines, and Caribbean countries.

FMGE 2020 Qualifying Marks
For qualifying FMGE you need to secure 150 marks out of 300 marks. NBE is the authority who sets the competent qualifying marks for the examination. Any alteration of marks will be notified by NBE the conducting body.

There are no restrictions on the number of attempts. Failed candidates can apply for re-exam maximum for unlimited times.
However, FMGE being a qualifying examination once a candidate qualifies the examination, they will not be allowed to attempt the exam again.
FMGE 2020 Results: Statistics
The result of the FMGE 2020 Screening Test has been announced on September 12, 2020. This year due to COVID-19 the examination was delayed. The June session was shifted to the August session.
The total number of students who appeared for FMGE was 17,789 candidates. The qualified candidates are 1,697. The All India 2020 FMGE pass percentage of the June session is 9.53%.

How to download FMGE 2020 Results..?
The result of FMGE will be published on the official website of NBE. You can easily download your results just by following a few simple steps as discussed below.
If your entire documents are not submitted within the stipulated date and time; then your results are withheld by the authorities.
Let’s follow the steps:
- You must visit the NBE official website; i.e https://nbe.edu.in/
- Select the “FMGE” tab given towards the bottom of the page.
- “Click here to view results” provided the link.
- The result will be available in PDF format.
- Scroll down through the list to find your Roll Number.
- You may (must) Download and Save the PDF for future references.
How to download your FMGE Score Card..?
Now you have seen your result in PDF format. Download your scorecard after the declaration of FMGE 2020 results.
Follow the outline to view and save your Score Card.
- Go to the Official Website of NBE i.e. https://nbe.edu.in/
- Click on the “Applicant Login”
- Sign in to the registered account using your User ID, Password (issued at the time of filling the Application Form)
- You will be getting a pop-up showing the FMGE Score Card. The card comprises of candidate’s score and other details.
- Go through the scorecard thoroughly and verify all the details printed on the card.
- After cross-checking it, take a printout of the scorecard and preserve it for the future.

NBE issued Pass Certificate
Candidates can avail of their pass certificate after qualifying screening tests. Through a recent report, the result of candidates qualified screening test will be provided by NBE after the verification process.
As per the Screening Test Regulations 2002, Indian citizens possessing the medical qualification awarded by the overseas institutions have to qualify for the FMGE Screening Test conducted by the National Board of Examination.
The signed copy of the results will be provided to the students after charging a document verification fee of Rs. 2000. The fee must be paid through demand draft payable to the National Board of Examination.
Guidelines for obtaining Pass Certificate
At the time of verification, you undergo certain electronic validation.
- You are required to pass biometric verification and fingerprint of all pass candidates.
- The Certificate will be issued after the successful validation of the candidate’s identity.
- No one can take your Certificate on behalf of you. No other representative can receive the Pass Certificate.
The medical students have to report physically to collect their FMGE Pass Certificate at the address mentioned below:

Documents to be carried at the venue
You have to submit your documents after the official website of NBE to schedule the issuance of your Pass Certificate.
The following mandatory documents to be carried along are as follows:
- FMGE 2020 Admit Card
- Eligibility Certificate issued by MCI
- Original Certificate of MBBS degree
- Original ID Proof; i.e Voter ID, PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, Driving license.
- Valid Passport*
Note: The candidates having primary medical qualifications from Nepal are required to submit their original passport else they will not get Pass Certificate.
