Our Lady of Fatima University was established in 1973 as the best Medical Educational Institute. The University was grown up by Jose C. Olivares and Dr. Vicente M. Santos on the land of Valenzuela City of the Philippines. It offers allied medicine programs and is known as the Higher Educational Institution in the country. The University grew out of Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, which was founded in the year 1967. Valenzuela Campus

Valenzuela Campus the main campus of the University located on the outskirts of Manila, the heart of the country. College of Medicine building, College of Business and Accountancy, St. Martin de Porres Building are sheltered under the Valenzuela Campus. The foreign students are disclosed to diverse learning and give international touch to their studies.

The campus exclusively houses College of Dentistry, College of Maritime Education and College of Medicine. The campus has easy access to bus, taxis and metro terminals i.e., 15-20 minutes from campus.

Quezon City

Quezon City campus was constructed in the year 1996 with its new campus along with Regalado Avenue. The campus offers several curriculum programs such as Information Technology, Nursing, Pharmacy, Biology and Psychology.

In 2003 few more buildings were set up in the campus which contributed in the growth of the student population. Today, the campus is the house of 10 colleges. The prestige of this college meets the high standards of international management.

Antipolo Campus

Antipolo Campus founded in the year 2007 for the residents of Rizal and nearby area. Initially the campus offered 10 programs and handled by 39 dedicated faculty members. In 2011 the campus enlarged its hands and constructed a 6-storey building St. Catherine Hall and housed the Fatima University Gallery where various art exhibits are displayed for students.

In 2016 the campus got the accreditation of PACUCOA and in the same year the Senior High School Program housed in the Antipolo campus pursuing the academic track in the subjects like Accountancy, Science, Technology, Humanities and Social Sciences, General Academic strand (GAS).

Pampanga Campus

OLFU Pampanga Campus established at the provincial capital city, San Fernando. It is the only non-sectarian, private University. In 2012, with the number of 500 students the campus marked its beginning. Multiple state of art buildings was constructed in order to expand the programs at the campus.

Nueva Ecija Doctors College Campus

OLFU Nueva Ecija began its operation as it acquires the Nueva Ecija Doctors College in the year 2015. Constructed on the Maharlika Highway, Cabanatuan City and it is the fifth campus of OLFU. The Campus was built with great infrastructural facilities such as fully air-conditioned rooms, auditoriums and multi-purpose gym. Modern equipped laboratories necessary for the growth and development of the students.

Laguna Campus

The University geared up for its next milestone after establishing five campuses in the country. New OLFU Campus is constructed on the Lion City of South Luzon. In the year 2018, the construction of the campus broke down.

Eligibility Criteria – Our Lady of Fatima University

In order to take admission in Our Lady of Fatima University you have to fulfil certain eligibility criteria. The college follows BS-MD study pattern which is similar to US Education system. BS of 2 years and 4 years of MD course for MBBS education in the University. So, the criteria for BS admission in the college are different from MD admission.

Criteria for taking Admission into BS Psychology:

  • You must have completed class 12 with the science stream.
  • Should secure 50% in PCB i.e. Physics, Chemistry, and Biology for General Category and 40% for ST/SC/OBC.
  • NEET must be Qualified.

Criteria for taking Admission into MD Program:

  • Some of the students complete their B.SC and then intends to pursue the MBBS course. So, they will get direct admission into the MD course.
  • You should have completed your class 12 with Biology as a subject, B.SC and NEET Qualified.
  • You have to undergo is examination known as NMAT i.e. National Medical Admission Test. It is required to be attempted by the students.

Duration of MBBS Course in Our Lady of Fatima University

MBBS courses in the Philippines differ from other countries but the degree achieves the same validation as others gain. The total duration of MBBS in the University is of 6 years i.e. 2+4 years. This University offers BS-MD course in order to teach MBBS to Indian Medical students.

Study Pattern of Our Lady of Fatima University

BS-MD Course Study

The University has six campuses in the Philippines, all of them follow the American Study Pattern i.e. BS-MD course study. The study curriculum of the University is separate from the other countries’ study pattern. BS-MD course has to be followed by national and international students.

The Pre-Medicine Program i.e. BS which is of 2 years. The BS course consists of four semesters which may take upto 1.5 to 2 years as the University regulations.

A student has to pass NMAT in order to enter MD i.e. Doctor of Medicine which is of 4 years. NMAT is the compulsory examination given by the students who wish to enter into MD course.

After you complete your full course you apply for internship program i.e., 1 year. You can start your internship in the Philippines or in India as per your comfort.

You can prepare for USMLE i.e. United States Medical Licensing Examination designed for the medical students who have passed their graduation and now wish to work in USA as an MBBS doctor required cracking USMLE.

If you want to practice in India after completing MBBS in Philippines you have to pass the MCI FMGE Screening Test which is conducted by MCI i.e., Medical Council of India. What is NMAT..?

National Admission Medical Test is a selection process conducted by CHED i.e. Commission on Higher Education and CEM i.e. Center for Educational Measurements.
