Why Lyceum North-western University..?

Lyceum North-Western University started its layout with a single-room nursing school. The college was the brainchild of Dr. Francisco Quimson Duque and Mrs. Florencia Tiongson Duque. In the year 1969, the medical college laid its foundation as Dagupan City Polyclinic Hospital which had an initial population of 94 students. The University led a consortium of local tertiary schools. LN became the first medical school in the north. Initially, LN enrolled 19 students in the north.

Course Pattern of L-NU

Philippines follow US education-based framework the pattern of medical education is quite different from other countries. The country gives BS-MD course to the clinical students. It is made obligatory by the instruction framework that the students need to breeze through the graduation i.e., BS Course, it is the essential clinical course generally known as the Foundation Program Course. After the finishing of BS Course which is of 1.5 years the students are required to pass NMAT (National Medical Admission Test) for going into the MD Course. BS Course in India
